American Oak 550 x 19mm

American white oak is a robust, heavy wood with low stiffness and high overall strength, making it more desirable as a structural timber. It also has excellent steam bending capabilities. White oak works nicely with glue, nails, and screws. It takes stains well and shines nicely. The heartwood is vulnerable to lyctid borer attacks and termite infestation.
